Comments - Charming kacho-e or birds and flowers print of a bird perched on a wisteria vine next to hanging blossoms, done in the aizuri-e style. Literally "blue printed picture," aizuri-e are woodblocks printed entirely or predominantly in shades of blue. The style became fashionable with the introduction of the pigment Prussian Blue to Japan in the late 1820s. A lovely nature print with a nice asymmetrical balance.
