Original Tachihara Inuki (1951 - 2015) Japanese Woodblock Print
Ceremonial Ship

Comments - Beautiful a ceremonial boat on the shore with men dressed in matching blue vests decorated with splashing waves attempting to move the ship. At lower right, two men carry an enormous fish with seaweed hanging from its mouth. In the distance at right, white smoke rises from a village and a torii gate leads to the beach. A fascinating subject and a rare original, limited edition woodblock by Tachihara Inuki. This print is signed Shinya in pencil in the bottom margin and number 27/150. In 1995, the artist changed his name from Katsuhara Shinya to Tachihari Inuki. We've never before offered one of Tachihara's own designs.
