Original Eisen (1790 - 1848) Japanese Woodblock Print
Beauty Standing in a Doorway Kakemono, circa 1825 - 1835

Comments - Beautiful kakemono or vertical diptych of a young woman standing in a doorway, smiling happily. She pushes aside the flowered curtain with one hand as she tucks the other inside her black obi. She wears a cherry blossom patterned kimono in blue and brown, trimmed with blue-green, over a rose colored under robe which features cherry blossoms on the collar. One bare foot peeks from beneath the hem of her flowing robe at lower left. A terrific design that would make an elegant display.

Artist - Eisen (1790 - 1848)

Image Size - 26 1/2" x 8 3/4"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two attached panels. Horizontal centerfold. A few wormholes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few marks, slight rubbing at edges. Please see photos for details.
