Nakamura Utaemon as Kurofune Chuemon

Comments - Handsome kabuki portrait of Nakamura Utaemon as the otokodate or street knight Kurofune Chuemon in a teahouse. He throws his arm out in alarm as he scowls angrily, a pipe in his other hand. The silhouettes of a beauty and a samurai can be seen in gray against the shoji windows behind him. An interesting subject with a nicely detailed setting.

Image Size - 14 7/8" x 10"
