Comments - Handsome scene of one of a shogun's procession during the Tokugawa Shogunate. The Shogun rides in a handsome cart drawn by black oxen, his face partially hidden behind the fringed trim of the carriage top. Noblemen in formal court attire walk alongside him, with a long line of followers crossing over the bridge from the castle at left. A striking design with beautiful color and detail, including burnishing on the cart, the oxen, the black robes, and the black court caps. The first time we've seen this Meiji era subject.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three attached panels, backed with paper. Slight separation at ends of folds between panels, repaired. Slight soiling, a few creases. Horizontal and vertical lines where backing papers meet. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
