Ten Sights of Shinano - Best known as the leading shin-hanga designer of beauty portraits, Ito Shinsui also produced a number of beautiful landscape prints. These expressive images feature wide vistas and heightened color, along with energetic line work. After WWII, Shinsui left the ruined city of Tokyo for Komoro in Nagano Prefecture, the former Shinano Province. While there, he completed his "Ten Sights of Shinano." These attractive designs are excellent examples of his handsome landscapes.
