A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction
Swallows and Willow, circa 1925 - Charming kacho-e or birds and flowers print of three swallows perched on the branch of a willow tree during a light rain. The leaves blow gracefully in the wind, and the raindrops are rendered in silver mica, a nice touch. Ito Sozan specialized in kacho-e, and worked with the publisher Watanabe from 1919 to 1926. Sozan's prints are rarely seen on the market. A lovely shin-hanga design.
