Genji Entertaining Beauties on a Verandah, 1868

Comments - Fantastic triptych of Prince Genji entertaining a group of beauties on a verandah built out over a beautiful lake. The young prince relaxes with his arm resting on a railing, smiling as his guests arrive. One of the beauties carries a dish of food while another kneels before a brazier holding a blue and white porcelain sake bottle. A full moon glows in the dark night sky and cherry blossoms frame the scene. A lovely image with fine detail and soft shading in the water. and sky. Includes faint embossing on the white kimono collars and trim, and on the folding fan at right.

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 29" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three separate panels. A few wormholes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
