New Suikoden Kabuki Play - Lively scene from the Suikoden of Kumonryu Shishin, whose nickname is "Nine Tattooed Dragons," battling an opponent outside a temple. He raises a club above his head with both hands, one sleeve of his robe pushed down to the waist to reveal his upper body tattoo, his long hair blowing wildly around his face. At lower left, a man wearing a woven straw hat grips an enormous axe, staring up with a grimace. From left, the actors are Ichikawa Kojiro and Ichikawa Danjuro. A bold, colorful design, detailed with metallic silver pigment that has oxidized to a darker tone on the edge of the axe blade.
