Kinryuzan Temple in Asakusa, circa 1840 - 1842 - Beautiful view of the busy courtyard at Kinryuzan Temple in Asakusa. A light rain slants across the scene as visitors stroll about the grounds and stop at the shops lining the path. Temple buildings frame the view, and the tall spire rises above the tree line. A lovely illustration of this sacred site. Interestingly, this print was published both with rain and without, and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts has both images in its collection.
