Plum Garden at Kameido, circa 1832 -1838 - Handsome original Hiroshige design of visitors at the plum garden at Kameido, the famous "Sleeping Dragon Plum" emerging from the ground at various points beyond the fenced enclosure. People relax as they sit on the benches under the blossoming trees, smoking and chatting next to a tea stand with a thatched roof. At left, a waitress carries a tray with teacups on it. A great view of this famous Edo landmark. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts has this image in its collection.
