Takamatsu Naizen versus Tateshina Danjo Masatada, 1857 - Dynamic scene of the two warriors Takamatsu Naizen and Tateshina Danjo Masatada engaged in a fierce fight while tangled in the streamers of a battle standard. The young man on top prepares to plunge his short sword into his enemy, who clutches a spear. Samurai fight behind them with spears and swords. A dramatic design full of action and a terrific sense of motion.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Slight thinning at edges, stitching holes at side, a few holes, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and creasing, slight rubbing at edges. Please see photos for details.
