Original Toyokuni II (1777 - 1835) Japanese Woodblock Print
Ichikawa Danjuro VII

Comments - Terrific kabuki portrait of Ichikawa Danjuro VII as a man holding a pipe, looking over his shoulder with a slight scowl, his brows furrowed. He holds an ornate pipe, and wears a green dotted robe over a plum striped kimono and red under robe. A decorate border with various motifs, including leaves, crossed scrolls, and cranes in flight, frames the portrait. A great bold design.
