Series; Six Actors Compared to the Six Immortal Poets

Nakamura Shikan IV - Great kabuki portrait of a Nakamura Shikan as a beauty wearing an impressive kimono featuring a tiger stalking among snow covered bamboo. The tiger wraps around the shoulders of the garment, its fangs and claws visible and its tail curving down the opposite sleeve. The woman carries a western style umbrella and has a sword tucked into her obi. She grins slightly, showing tiny white teeth. A bold composition nicely filling the page, with vibrant color adding to the dramatic impact.

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 9 1/2" + margins as shown
