Series; Thirty Views of Kyoto, 1936

First Edition Thirty Views of Kyoto - Handsome first edition design Tokuriki's lovely "Thirty Views of Kyoto" series, published by Uchida in 1936. These charming shin-hanga designs illustrate famous places and events in Kyoto, celebrating life throughout the seasons, rendered in a painterly style with subdued colors and soft shading. Each print is mounted to stiff board in the nearly square shikishiban format, ready for display, with a label on the reverse (see example below). First edition images from this series are rarely seen on the market. A terrific choice for a shin-hanga collector.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Mounted to board. Slight toning. A few prints have a couple small creases at the corners. Please see photos for details. Generally in nice condition overall.
