Series; Eight Views of Edo Figures, circa 1836 - 1838

Beauty Playing Koto - Charming portrait of a beauty playing the koto, smiling happily as she plucks the instrument with a plectrum or pick. She kneels beside a sliding panel opening onto a verandah, her outer robe trailing onto the floor around her. Note the pictogram next to the title cartouche at upper right. An attractive design, nicely detailed, with a handsome setting.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Backed with paper. Slight soiling, a few creases, paper slightly curled at sides. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
