Mirror of Recent Heroes - Great series titled "Mirror of Recent Heroes" (Kinsei eiyu kagami) featuring portraits of loyal samurai in action, done by several different artists, including Yoshitsuya. These lively image show warriors displaying courage and determination as they attack the enemy or defend themselves in battle, prepare for an attack, or relax in private moments. Nice expressive figures with vibrant color. An unusual series, rarely seen.
