Series; A Folding Book of Full-color Woodblock Prints, 1898
A Folding Book of Full-color Woodblock Prints - This design comes from an 1898 series of selected designs featuring famous figures from Japan's history and mythology. The series compiles some of the best images from a variety series by several Meiji era artists, including works by Gekko, Kiyochika, and Shuntei Miyagawa. These handsome subjects range from the earliest emperors to legendary warriors and heroes, noblemen, and beauties.
