Series; Fashionable Parodies of the Seven Komachi

Kiyomizu Temple, circa 1847 - 1847 - Charming portrait of a beauty holding a folding fan, looking ahead with a slight grin. She wears a blue kimono patterned with fans, poem slips, and medallions bordered by a variety of flowers over a red under robe, tied with a gray print obi. A border of clouds runs across the top with confetti-like dots scattered along the bottom. An attractive design from a rarely seen series pairing contemporary beauties with scenes from the life of the famous Heian era poetess Ono no Komachi.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. A few small wormholes and thinning spots, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
