Comments - Beautiful kakemono or vertical diptych of a young courtesan dressed in a tie-dyed outer kimono patterned with fans and tied with a magnificent obi with a carp leaping up a waterfall. She looks down with a happy smile, holding one sleeve of her red under robe to her chin. Her long hair falls over her shouldered, adorned with two large combs and many hairpins. Wonderfully detailed with embossing in the white kimono trim and collar. A lovely Edo era design.
