Comments - Interesting shin-hanga bust-length portrait of a man staring ahead with a rather grumpy expression, his brows furrowed. He wears a black outer robe over a gray kimono and a white under robe. His hair is cropped very short except for a small knot atop his head. The print is dated Showa 18 (1943), and includes a lovely shimmering mica background, but we're not sure who the sitter is. A very expressive design.
Artist - Shin-hanga & Modern artist (unsigned)
Image Size - 13" x 8 5/8" + margins as shown
Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. A few small marks. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
