Spring Horse Play

Comments - Charming springtime scene of a child riding a hobbyhorse. He smiles as he looks over his shoulder, gripping the reigns and galloping along on the wheeled toy. The beauty in the center looks down at him affectionately, wearing a turquoise blue kimono patterned with a variety of colorful flowers. Another woman at right holds his sword upright, wrapped in purple silk. At right, an elegant screen with a black lacquer frame features a scene of cranes and a red sun. In the garden beyond, a plum tree dotted with white blossoms and buds frames the softly shaded blue sky. An attractive subject with burnishing on the black kimono and lacquer frame, and embossing on the white kimono trim.

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 27 3/4"
