Mt. Atago, 1866

Series; Famous Places in the Eastern Capital

Mt. Atago, 1866 - Lovely image of a beauty climbing down the steep stone steps of Atagoyama or Mt. Atago. She smiles as she holds onto the railing, holding her sleeve of her striped coat to her chin. Pine trees frame a view out over the city's rooftops and across the water, a few white sails visible on the horizon. An attractive design with a dynamic composition. The first time we've offered this subject.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 10"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse at top corners from previous mounting. Stitching holes at side, a few small wormholes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
