March: Playing under the Cherry Blossoms - Attractive spring triptych depicting a couple of girls playing beneath a blossoming cherry tree, one chasing after the other. Two women sits on the verandah at right, chatting as they watch the children. The beauty at right wears a lavender kimono patterned with water plants, some of the leaves detailed with silver mica, tied with a green geometric print obi dotted with peonies. Her companion's robe is shaded from blue to white with baskets filled with cherry blossoms. At right, a small tray holds a tiny teapot and cups. A cloth panel is hung from the cherry trees at right to provide privacy for the group. A charming design with lovely color and detail in the kimono and obi fabrics.
