A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

Samurai Gathered at an Encampment - Terrific kabuki triptych of a group of samurai gathered at an encampment, surrounded by tent walls emblazoned with the paulownia crest of the Minamoto Clan. The warrior at right wears a fantastic battle helmet topped with a one-horned demon, a monk's mantle wrapped around his head. A thick stalk of bamboo rests against his shoulder. A samurai in the center looks up at him earnestly, gripping a large iron club. The two other men exchange solemn frowns, white sashes tied around their foreheads. A handsome design with expressive faces, with lively color and fine detail in the armor and weapons.
