The Chofu Jewel River, 1843 - Intriguing scene of people wading in the Chofu Jewel River, one of Japan's famous Six Jewel Rivers. Small fish swim around their feet in the shallow water among the rocks. At center right, a man thrusts a shell at a beauty, while behind them, people dance about, waving their arms. Pink clouds run across the background, with a handsome landscape view in the distance. A charming design.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Backed with paper. Losses at edges, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, slight rubbing at edges, a few creases. Please see photos for details.
