Takenouchi no Sukune - Handsome portrait of the legendary Japanese statesman and hero Takenouchi no Sukune, who served under five emperors. He supposedly lived to the age of 280, and survived the ordeal of plunging his hands into boiling water to prove his innocence after being accused of treason. A rarely seen Kuniyoshi series.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Horizontal centerfold. Remnants of paper hinge mounts on reverse at top edge. A few small holes, repaired. Slight toning, creasing, and soiling, a couple marks. Please see photos for details.
