Teashop at Ueno Kiyomizu, 1940 - Lovely evening scene of a beauty walking towards a teashop at Kiyomizu Temple. Steam spills from a kettle on a brazier, and teacups are neatly stacked on the shelves below. Colorful lanterns hang overhead, and a warm yellow light spills out across the grounds, edging the trees and leaves with a golden glow. A wonderful night view and a classic Koitsu subject. Beautifully shaded. Would make a fine display.
