The Benten Shrine at Shinobazu Pond, circa 1839 - 1842 - Interesting view of the walkway leading to the island in the center of Shinobazu Pond in Ueno. Pedestrians stroll along the embankment lined with pine trees and stone lanterns, crossing over an arched bridge in the center. Teahouses extend out over the water's edge, the pond filled with lily pads. An attractive design with an unusual viewpoint, nicely colored.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Small loss at end of vertical centerfold, repaired. Slight thinning along fold. Slight toning and soiling, a few stains. Please see photos for details.
