Shinobazu Pond at Ueno, circa 1832 - 1834 - Lovely view of people strolling along the bank of Shinobazu Pond in Ueno, enjoying the blossoming cherry trees lining the path. A toy vendor sits on a straw mat at right, with his wares displayed before him. An arched bridge leads to the shrine on an island in the pond, with the city rooftops shadowed in gray in the distance. A rarely seen subject, also in the collection of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.

Image Size - 8 1/2" x 13 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Paper remnants on reverse from previous backing. Vertical centerfold, vertical fold at side. Small loss at edger, repaired. Light toning and spotting, slight soiling. Please see photos for details.
