Saga no Dairyo beneath a Cherry Tree, 1866 - Handsome design of the warrior Saga no Dairyo standing beneath a cherry tree, using his sword to split blossoms and petals as they fall to the ground around him. He scowls as he looks to the side, gripping his weapon tightly. He wears a red floral kimono over a white robe with a beautiful embossed pattern, edged with pale pink. A bench covered with a red floral cloth rests under the tree at right, with pink flowers framing the dark night sky overhead. Beautifully printed and detailed.

Artist - Yoshitoshi (1839 - 1892)

Image Size - 9 1/4" x 6 5/8"

Condition - This print with good color and excellent detail as shown. Small loss at corner, repaired. Slight soiling, slight rubbing at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
