Courtesans in an Iris Garden, 1867 - Charming scene of three courtesans and their kamuro or child apprentices enjoying an evening stroll through an iris garden, accompanied by servants carrying umbrellas over them. The beauty in the center wears a red kimono patterned with clematis, while the woman at right wears an outer robe with a morning glory design, the girls wearing matching attire. A bamboo railing surrounds the blossoming irises, protected by blue and white checked roofs. The first time we've offered this attractive design.
