Flower Arranging, 1847 - 1842 - Handsome scene of Mitsuuji, the Country Genji, arranging flowers with a beauty on a spring evening. He smiles as he offers a few iris blossoms to his companion, who is holding a hairpin. A pair of scissors and a container rest on the floor behind the lamp, and the room opens onto a garden framed by flowering cherry trees. A charming design with a nicely detailed setting.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 20 1/8" + top margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two separate panels. Slight paper remnants on reverse on two sides from previous mounting. A couple small holes, a couple small losses at edges, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few marks. Please see photos for details.
