A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

Elderly Samurai and Beauties - Interesting kabuki scene of an elderly samurai with curly white hair scowling at a matron holding a folding fan. She stares back at him with her chin raised defiantly as the young samurai at right glares up at the older man. A beauty at upper right watches with a sweet smile. Colorful lanterns and streamers hang from the eaves against a dark night sky beyond. A handsome design with expressive figures, detailed with embossing on the white hair and eyebrows. The first time we've seen this Chikanobu subject.
