The Coquettish Type - Charming image of a flirtatious young geisha biting down on a tissue while looking slyly out of the corners of her eyes. Her hair is piled high on her head with a large tortoise shell comb. Her pale blue under robe is beautifully patterned with butterflies, the soft colors contrasting nicely her solid black kimono. A cartouche at upper right takes the form of a scroll unrolling to reveal a handsome landscape with Mt. Fuji towering in the background. An attractive Edo era design.

Artist - Eisen (1790 - 1848)

Image Size - 15" x 10"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Small loss and slight thinning, a couple small wormholes, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and creasing, a few small spots. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
