Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of Prince Oda at a rustic retreat in the countryside, kneeling in front of a stone marker with writing on it. He looks sadly at the palace guard at left as he ties the sash around his waist. The guard stares back with a distraught expression as he prepares to leave his master alone in the wilderness. He holds the reins of a dappled horse pawing at the ground, wearing a white tunic over a kimono tucked into pants. Swirling clouds drift across the rugged mountains in the distance. A poignant image with expressive figures an d a handsome setting.
