Young General by Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Original Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864) Japanese Woodblock Print
Young General

Comments - Great kabuki portrait of a young general standing on the porch of a home, staring to the side with an angry frown. He wears a red vest patterned with gourds over a suit of armor bearing the Minamoto paulownia crest on the chest plate, a tasseled command baton in his hand. A handsome design with a nicely detailed setting.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 9 5/8"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Stitching holes at side, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few spots and creases, stain at edge. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
