Carp beneath Wisteria, 1889

Comments - Lovely Yoshitoshi design of carp swimming beneath blossoming wisteria vines. Softly shaded sweeping blue lines suggest the current swirling around the fish as they move near the surface of the water. A beautiful, striking design, wonderfully composed. The first time we've offered this subject.
