Original Hasui (1883 - 1957) Japanese Woodblock Print
Hama-cho River Bank (Hamachogashi), 1925

Comments - Beautiful view of the Hama-cho Riverbank as evening begins to fall. A plum colored glow spreads along the horizon, and the last of the sunlight illuminates the edges of the buildings lining the shore and the clouds overhead with a warm peach light, which twinkles on the shimmering surface of the water below. A lovely peaceful image, beautifully colored and shaded.
