Beauties on a Winter Day, 1860

Comments - Charming scene of two beauties on a winter day, one resting in bed as her companion covers her with a heavy padded kimono. The beauty lying down wears a purple sash around her forehead, a type usually worn by invalids. A folding screen behind them depicts a view of a castle framed by pine branches, and icicles hang from the eaves above. An interesting design with a nicely detailed setting.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14 5/8" x 10"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Small hole, repaired. Slight soiling, a few creases and small spots. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
