Earth - Charming spring scene of a beauty smiling as she looks at the shoots of bracken rising up from the ground and unfurling, a yellow butterfly perched on one of the plants. Two other butterflies flutter in the sky nearby. Her kimono is shaded from violet to green and patterned with circular motifs over an intricately patterned red floral robe. The inset at upper right features a view of Mt. Fuji across the water, framed by a green slope in the foreground. An attractive design from this rarely seen Kuniyoshi beauty series, nicely detailed. The first time we've offered this subject.
