Comments - Charming portrait of a beauty reading a letter, examining it closely as she unrolls it between her hands. Her shaded green kimono features a border of white gourds and leaves, worn over a red under robe and tied with a lavender print obi that reverses to red. A border of clouds separates the figure from a view of a teahouse with geisha and guests in gray silhouette against the shoji panels. An attractive design.
