Plum Blossoms and Snow through the Window, the Nature of Youth, 1847 - 1852

Comments - Attractive scene of Prince Genji and beauties on an early spring day, snow covering the blossoming plum trees outside the window. The young nobleman leans forward with an eager smile, huddled under a kimono for warmth. The woman in the center gestures towards the beauty at left, who wears a coat over her kimono. A charming design, nicely detailed and shaded.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 29 3/4" + top margin as shown
