Visiting a Waterfall, 1861

Comments - Handsome kabuki scene of two men and a woman visiting a waterfall. The man at left grins as he looks up at the rushing water, while the fellow in the middle regards the beauty with a worried expression, a cup of sake in his hand. She smiles back at him as she dries her face with a dotted towel. Includes faint cloth embossing on the towel. Nice large expressive figures in a striking natural setting.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 29 1/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three separate panels. Stitching holes at one side of each panel, a few wormholes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
