A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

Twenty-five Views of Mt. Fuji - Beautiful design from a 1931 series depicting Mt. Fuji in all seasons by the 20th century artist Jokata Kaiseki. This lovely series provides views of the sacred mountain throughout the year, showing the peak wreathed in clouds or framed by cherry blossoms, seen up close or through a distant glowing haze, serene in nature or accompanied by the activities of everyday life. Kaiseki's works have a very painterly quality, featuring soft color and calligraphic brushwork contrasting with areas of intricate detail. Mt. Fuji is a symbol of Japan and a favorite subject of artists. Kaiseki's works are rarely seen, and these attractive prints are a great choice to collect or display.
