Woman Warrior Confronting a Samurai on Horseback - Intriguing scene of a woman warrior confronting a samurai on horseback. The samurai turns in his saddle as he rides past to rip loose a plate of armor from her shoulder, sending her naginata flying out of her hand. She faces him as her dappled horse gallops ahead, her long hair falling over her shoulders, arrows protruding from her armor. A left, a young retainer holds the samurai's standard, which is protectively wrapped in cloth for traveling. Sprigs of pine branches fall through the air all around the couple. A handsome design with wonderful detail in the armor and weapons, including touches of burnishing, and soft bokashi shading in the background.
