Comments - Attractive scene from the Tale of Genji of Prince Mitsuuji, the Country Genji, arriving at an elegant mansion. He smiles as a matron helps him with his coat, taking hold of the collar while he looks over his shoulder. In the room beyond at upper right, an alcove holds a floral arrangement in a vase, with a floral folding screen at right. A charming design, detailed with embossing on the white kimono trim.
