The Wife of Kajiwara Genta Kagesue - Handsome portrait of the wife of the samurai Kajiwara Genta Kagesue and a girl enjoying a spring stroll. The beauty looks up over her shoulder with a smile, holding her kimono sleeve to her chin. Her young companion carries a blossoming cherry branch. Her husband Kagesue was a retainer of the Minamoto clan, and is best known for his race across the Uji River against Sasaki Tatatsuna during the Second Battle of Uji River. An attractive design with intricate detail in the patterned kimono and obi fabrics.
