Shinjuku

Series; One Hundred Beautiful Women at Famous Places in Edo

Shinjuku - Attractive portrait of a beauty preparing for bed, her striped robe loosely wrapped around her red tie-dyed under robe. She looks down over her shoulder, a few tissues caught between her teeth and a roll of them in her hand. A soft rosy glow illuminates the shoji shade on the lamp at right, with a black lacquer tray on the floor holding a teapot and two cups. A charming subject with fine bokashi shading in the background.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14 3/8" x 10" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse at top edge from previous mounting. A couple light creases at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
