Comments - Lovely okubi-e or large head portrait of a beauty holding an uchiwa or flat fan, smiling and showing rows of tiny white teeth as she looks over her shoulder. She tugs on the collar of her outer robe, which features a design of yellow-orange stripes alternating with black and white bands, worn over a red under robe with a blue collar patterned with waves. Her hair is pulled back into a large bun, adorned with a comb, a bow, ribbons, and hairpins decorated with flowers. A charming Edo era beauty subject, seldom seen in reprint.
